Our Speakers:
Robert Picciotto
Robert (Bob) is a visiting Professor at King’s College (London) where he teaches evaluation. He formerly served as vice president and director general of evaluation at the World Bank. Since his retirement from the World Bank he has provided senior independent evaluation advice to many international organizations, philanthropic foundations and think tanks. He serves on the boards of the UK Evaluation Society and the European Evaluation Society and is a member of the New Zealand Aid Programme’s Evaluation and Research Board. We are lucky that he spends part of each year in New Zealand.
Simon Faivel
Simon Faivel is a Director in the Consulting team. Simon’s focus is on measurement and evaluation and he leads SVA’s work on Social Return on Investment (SROI). He is an accredited SROI trainer and practitioner. Simon is also the Chair of the Social Impact Measurement Network of Australia (SIMNA) Steering Committee, a Board member of Social Value International (SVI) and is on the international SROI Network Methodology Sub-Committee.
Prior to joining SVA, Simon was a strategy consultant at Accenture, a management consulting firm. He has also started, owned and operated two companies. Simon has travelled extensively, working and volunteering in challenging and remote locations in China, Papua, India and Australia. He also holds a BSc. and BA (Hons. in Philosophy) from Monash University.
