Alice Dimond (Kāi Tahu, Ngāti Kahungunu) is Innovation Lead at Te Whānau o Waipareira, designing and implementing innovative projects to achieve whānau aspirations. Alice has experience in social innovation, design-thinking, whānau-centric design and project management.
Design Thinking is a well-recognised approach for thinking through problems and generating innovative and useful solutions which are responsive to stakeholder needs. The approach encourages us to ‘love the problem, not the solution’ and to innovate quickly and be agile.
In this one hour workshop you will meet people working in similar fields and workshop a problem (and solution) together. You will work through interactive activities and learn some of the key elements of design thinking.
*This workshop is available free to all SVA members. Non-members are very welcome to join us and tickets are available for non-members for a small fee to help us cover our costs*
SVA AGM: 5 – 6pm
We will follow up this workshop by completing our formal AGM, where all members have the opportunity to feed into the development of this community.
